Our sincere thanks to Christiaan Vermeijden of the Netherlands, age 36, who ran for The Lowell School at the 2009 ING New York City Marathon. His run helped raised nearly $1,255 for the day. Christiaan's official finish time was 04:21:38 at 22,600th place running an average of 10 minutes per mile. With the largest field in the New York City Marathon's 40-year history, an estimated 42,000 runners swept through 26.2-miles in all five boroughs. Christiaan Vermeijden Races for Lowell ING NYC Marathon, Sunday, November 1st

Lowell won the ING New York City Marathon Lottery and was awarded a spot in the upcoming marathon. Our friend Christiaan Vermeijden of the Netherlands will run for Lowell.
