2013 Love for Lowell Benefit
Dear Lowell Families and Friends, Our Love for Lowell annual fundraiser was held Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan on a beautiful spring day. Staff, parents, alumni and their parents, and friends gathered to celebrate Lowell's academic excellence. Our alumni parent Sean Crowley served as our emcee again this year. Entertainment was graciously provided by Jean Rohe. Congratulations to all of our raffle winners. Many thanks to all of the members of the Benefit Committee for their tireless help. Benefit Co-Chairs were Angela Wong, Kim Brandon, and Irene Psilakis. Thanks to everyone who helped to make our benefit a success! Through your generous support, proceeds from this event will help us to maintain current staffing levels in light of our challenges with the New York State Education Department statewide budget freezes. 2012 Love for Lowell Benefit
Our Love for Lowell event, held Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Tribeca Rooftop was a spectacular gathering of close to 200 guests including parents and family members, alumni and friends. Our honoree was Joseph E. Brunken, an alum parent and president of the Lowell Board of Trustees. Mr. Brunken was honored for his passionate dedication to Lowell in helping us secure a new High School building for our students. Serving as emcee was alumni parent, Sean Crowley. Music was provided by pianist/Lowell parent, Bill Zeffiro. Benefit Co-Chairs were Eleni Daniels and Nina Goodman. Many thanks to all of our Benefit Committee members for their help. We raised over $90,000 to benefit our academic program. Congratulations to Super Raffle winner Ellen Telesca, and 50/50 Raffle winner, Joseph Radice. The success of this event would not have been possible without the support of our benefit donors including silent auction donors, and journal ad sponsors. Thank you.
2010 Love for Lowell Benefit
Our Love for Lowell event, held Sunday, December 5th, 2010 at the remarkable Boathouse at Central Park. It was truly a memorable event. The benefit coordinator was Eleni Daniels. Our benefit theme was "Voices of Success: One Child at a Time” and featured an amazing Silent Auction, Super Raffle, and 50/50 Raffle drawing. Our guest speaker was Lois Kam Heymann, M.A., CCC-SLP, director of the Auditory Processing Center, Center for Hearing and Communication, and author of The Sound of Hope: Recognizing, Coping with and Treating Your Child’s Auditory Processing Disorder. Entertainment was provided by the jazz quartet, Manhattan Vibes. Our thanks to all of our parents and families, friends, alumni, and business supporters for making this event a great success.
